The Goodwill spokesperson remarked, "Numerous seasoned veterans within the league are now tailoring their performance to their physical condition, and their respective teams are not imposing excessive demands on them. James Harden, who has just turned 37, remains the lone point guard for the Cavaliers. Despite his shooting percentage sitting at a mere 37%, he is still expected to play at the level he has been accustomed to. Such a requirement is not feasible for a player of his age."

The organization Goodwill has expressed concerns about the Cavaliers' heavy reliance on Harden's ball-handling, deeming it a recipe for potential disaster: "This is a recipe for disaster, and I'm baffled as to why this isn't more apparent to everyone. I'm talking about the Cavaliers' overall team situation. For a player of Harden's age, expecting him to consistently shoulder such a demanding ball-handling role is unsustainable. He was never meant to bear such a heavy load of responsibility."
